Information fusion is the process of integration and interpretation of data from different sources in order to derive information of a new quality. It addresses various current research areas, ranging form data management and integration to data and document mining. The workshop is designed to bring researcher working in the area of databases and information fusion together and foster collaboration among participants.

The workshop shall contain invited talks as well as reviewed submissions. The accepted papers will be published by a local publisher.

The workshop is organized by the DFG research group "Information Fusion" of the University of Magdeburg and supported by the DFG and GI (pending).

Submissions in electronic format (PostScript or PDF) not exceeding 12 pages (in english) are welcome. Please send your submission to dbfusion2001@cs.uni-magdeburg.de.
All submitted papers will be judged based on their quality and relevance by at least 2 reviewers.
